Scott Nolan is an acclaimed Folk/Roots songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and poet from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Treaty One territory. He has released 8 albums since 2005. He is known for his evocative, intimate performances and engaging, often humorous, between song patter.
Hayes Carll, Mary Gauthier, Watermelon Slim and many others have recorded his songs. He has co-written and performed with Hayes Carll, Mary Gauthier, Watermelon Slim and many others. He is perhaps best known for ‘Bad Liver and a Broken Heart’, a well known Hayes Carll standard. Scott has toured with Hayes, Mary, James McMurtry, Fred Eaglesmith and very recently with fellow singer-songwriter Joe Nolan.
Over the past decade or so, he produced 15 albums for others, such as William Prince, Lynne Hanson, Watermelon Slim, Stephen Fearing.
