Chloe Louise & The Backwoods Thieves is a hard-hitting blues band with deep New England roots. A 6-piece band that features two vocalists, organ, guitar, bass, and drums, the Thieves have an authentic, “home-grown” sound influenced by Jazz, Soul, Americana, Blues, and Jam Music. Born out of a love for music that makes audiences want to sing and dance along, the Thieves came together to present both imaginative originals and covers from artists such as Bonnie Raitt, The Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Allman Brothers Band, and Little Feat.
The band has an impressive roster of musicians with training from New England Conservatory, Berklee College of Music, and the Berklee Global Jazz Institute. Their high-level musicianship is clear in every arrangement and solo, but their original songs best demonstrate the group’s deep appreciation and love for music. This EP project features three original songs written by lead vocalist and bandleader, Chloe Louise Brisson, as well as a time-honored favorite, Whipping Post. Three of the tracks also feature a two-piece horn section. The music, released on November 27th, 2020, is available on all digital platforms.
